Processor is the main part of the computer that do all the work and control all the components in the computer. For gaming editing multitasking you have to choose the right processor otherwise you can't any work peacefully.1.You have to choose the processor then You have to see if your processor fit the motherboard or not. Ryzen 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 & 5000 CPU support AM4 motherboard but all AM4 AMD motherboard does not support Ryzen 1000 and 2000 series processor even though they have AM4 socket. but all AM4 socket motherboard support Ryzen 5000 and 4000 series processor. So keep that in mind. Same thing goes for intel. Intel release new socket motherboard every new year. So You have to very careful when you buy intel processor. example: The intel core I5 3rd generation processor doesn't support intel 6th gen or 7th gen motherboard. So be very careful.
2. All intel and AMD processor doesn't support 3200 mhz speed for Ram. So if you want to use 3200 mhz then check this ram supported speed in Processor.
3. The most important thing in processor. The bottleneck issue. If your CPU is weak and GPU high end then you will not get 100% performance. example I use I5 3470S with GTX 1060 6GB I got 50-60 FPS in Assassin's Creed Syndicate but when I upgrade my CPU to Ryzen 3 4350G (It has low bottleneck issue) I get 70-80 FPS.
How to see if your CPU bottleneck or not?
Go to google and search your CPU and GPU it will show some website that has test bottleneck. their you can check how much bottleneck you may face. I recommend you check multiple website.
