In today's gaming world Graphics Card is very necessary. Without the proper Graphics Card, your gaming experience will be most lacking and unsatisfactory. So when you are building a computer for gaming then you need to choose the Graphics Card carefully.
There are 2 type of GPU in the PC market. One is called integrated GPU and dedicated GPU. The integrated GPU is weak then dedicated GPU
Integrated GPU(IGPU):

Integrated GPU is come with a Processor. So you don't have to buy separated. This GPU is used to provide display for your computer if you don't have dedicated GPU. By using this GPU you can do normal work like photo editing , rendering low resolution video and light weight gaming. Only two company make processor and this company are Intel and AMD. Intel make the low quality IGPU on the other hand AMD makes the powerful IGPU. AMD's IGPU is equivalent Nvidia GT 1030 2GB GDDR5 on the other hand Intel IGPU is equivalent to Nvidia GT 610 Graphics card. So AMD is first choice for budget builder who just want to play all kind of game in low settings. IGPU use VRam from Ram. VRam takes from 1GB up to 16GB but This VRam memory will take memroy from Ram depending how much memory the computer has. If a computer have 16GB Ram then VRam will take 2GB from the Ram. If you have higher memory then VRam will take more memory from Ram. To play all games at 1080P/720P you need at least 16GB of Ram and 2GB of VRam.
Dedicated GPU:
The First dedicated GPU for computer was launch in 1998. After that people was able to play games on PC. If you think that before that how people play games on console? most of the game were coded and they use assemble language and C++ and the console company had had their own graphics processing chip. After that game developer started render there game in 3D (there were few 3D game before 1998). In the current market, there are three prominent companies known for producing Graphics Cards. This companies are Nvidia , AMD and Intel. Nvidia and AMD dominate the GPU market before Intel launch their new Graphics Card. Intel is new in the GPU market at first their driver was buggy but the intel developer is trying their best to solve the driver issue and they are improving.
The Specification of Graphics card :
The graphics card has Vram, Graphics processing chip , millions /billions of transistor, capacitor, power port, display output and PCIe interface that connect the GPU to the motherboard. After removing the fan and heat sink from GPU you can see this.

In the middle that is the Graphics processing chip and its around there are Vram chip.
GPU Processing Unit: Graphics processing chip process the image send to display.
Vram: Vram store a large number of image is stored in the Vram and then it send it to Graphics processing chip. It is kinda work like a Ram.
Transistors:The transistors are inside the Graphics processing chip so we can't see it.
Capacitors: On the right side of the picture this are the capacitors. it used for power stability and energy storage.
Display output port: Display output port is plug in to display. There are 4 type of display VGA, HDMI, DVI and Display port. The low GPU has 3 to 2 port and high end GPU has 4-5 ports.
PCIe: On the bottom of the GPU is the PCIe connector that part is plug in to the motherboard.
Power connector port: On the top right it there is the power connector port. The plug come with the PSU and it plug into the power port. some low end GPU doesn't have power port but the high end GPU has power port. There are minimum 6 pin power port to 16 pin power port.
How GPU works:
The GPU works by processing and rendering visual data to create the stunning graphics you see in games and other applications and it is very complex processes. if you want to know in details you should ask ChatGPT or search on Google. I will try to tell you short and easy way. The main work of GPU is to create images and it show to us. it basically creates a lot of image in second. so that can we see is a moving picture a video. when the input is given the started to create a image. to create a image it also it do this works it also make calculation to make sure the image on the screen move smoothly and look nice to our eyes. A GPU follow five step to produce image. this are Graphics pipeline. Geometry processing, vertex shading, Rasterization, Pixel shading.
The Usages of GPU :
Besides gaming, GPUs have a wide range of uses such as helping with scientific calculations, powering artificial intelligence, accelerating video editing, and even mining cryptocurrencies. GPU has more core than the CPU so GPU has more power to do many things like this.
